A gleeful student, who took to the internet to boast about how she got one of the most popular hair products online for free, has started a new internet craze as other shoppers look to save over £100.

Alice Middleton, from Bristol in Gloucestershire, was trying to find the best price on the BaByliss Curl Secret Styler when she found a site that was giving them away for free.

The site Alice discovered was and it has left the 21 year old Bristol University student amazed.

"I still can't believe I got them for free" Alice told UK Evening News. "I was hoping to find some sort of saving on these hair curlers but to get them for free is totally amazing. When they arrived in the post I was in shock at first. I could see on the site that other people had gotten other great stuff for free but until it arrived I wasn't sure. I can say that this site is totally genuine."

The must have hair product

As any woman would tell you the BaByliss Curl Secret Styler is a hugely popular product and very sought after. When released the Curl Secret Styler made it easy for women to create beautiful, free flowing curls with a long lasting effect. Currently it retails at over £100.

"The BaByliss Curl Secret Styler is a revolutionary product. It has halved the time it now takes to curl your hair and curls now last a lot longer. There has been so much positive hype about this product across the industry and the sales have been very strong. It is probably the best hair product of the decade," said Sara Young who hosts a popular beauty and fashion show on TV.

Alice is not the only person to have received the Curl Secret Styler for free. Just looking through their site you can see how many products have been given out. Jessica Randall, 36, a secondary school teacher from Chester, also received the BaByliss Curl Secret Styler for free. "I am absolutely delighted with how this worked. I signed up to the site and was selected to receive the Curl Secret Styler. It was delivered really quickly and now my review is up on the Product Testing site. It's such an easy way to get free stuff."

A new way to save money

There have been other sites that offer people like Alice and Jessica popular products, like the BaByliss Curl Secret Styler, at big discounts or even for free that turn out to be scams or failure to deliver. Product Testing has used a model that allows them to send out popular products for free.

"We work with big brands that are looking for important customer feedback. We send out products to our members and they then review the product and keep it and we post the review on our site. The brands get the market research, our members get great products for free and we are compensated for the data we provide. New members are required to complete a lifestyle survey to help us build a tester profile for that user. Then we select multiple Product Testers each week and send them products to test" Product Testing's founder told UK Evening News.

Retail expert James Paine told UK Evening News when asked about Alice's discovery. "This is a heavily in demand product that is being sold for over £100. It certainly looks like a great way to save a lot of money. These people are definitely onto a good thing with this site."
